He replaces John Billock, who has hung around since Jan waiting for his replacement to be named. Tom Baxter left his post as pres in Mar-his departure also was a result of that same Jan internal review. Chmn/CEO Glenn Britt will become pres/CEO when the Adelphia deal closes; Don Logan will become chmn of Time Warner Cable when it goes public. (Confused yet?) Replacing Hobbs as CFO will be John Martin who comes from parent Time Warner Inc, where he was svp, investor relations. Time Warner Inc’s Robert Marcus joins the MSO in the new post of svp. He’ll have oversight responsibility over mergers and acquisitions, programming affiliation relationships and the legal/HR depts.
