Charter is telling its St Louis-area subs that a shortage of HD receivers has resulted in a waiting list of 800 potential HD subs, the St Louis Post-Dispatch reported last week. Subscribers on the waiting list face a 7-week wait. The MSO’s spokeswoman told the paper box shortages are affecting other cable operators. She also said Charter expects set-top shipments this week and next and will begin whittling away at the waiting list.
