The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) has named Steve Harris as director of advanced network technologies program development.

Harris will be responsible for leading the creation and implementation of educational programs and technical resources for the membership – including Live Learning, Virtual Classroom, SCTE Primers, Tech Tips, Implication Papers and other activities within the organization’s Professional Development arm.

Most recently with Comcast University, Harris was instrumental in developing customized Level 2 training programs that are designed to increase the technical proficiency of Comcast employees.

Prior to Comcast University, Harris was a continuing education professor and network administrator for Camden County College in New Jersey, where he developed high-level training programs for Comcast, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and other companies.
