Harmonic Inc. announced that it has expanded its sales and support presence in Canada with the opening of an office in Toronto.

Chris Giacomelli, a Harmonic sales director previously located in the Asia Pacific region and a native of Canada, has relocated to Toronto to lead Harmonic’s Canadian sales team.
 
“Canada has a strong and growing cable, IPTV and broadcast market,” said Mr. Giacomelli. “Harmonic is increasing its capability to both serve our established Canadian customers and resellers, while at the same time securing new business.”
 
Harmonic counts among its customers a number of leading Canadian service providers who have deployed the company’s innovative solutions for delivering live and on-demand video to TVs, PCs and mobile devices. Customers include Bell Aliant, Bell ExpressVu, MTS Allstream, Rogers and SaskTel.
