M-net Telekommunikations GmbH, a broadband telecommunications service provider based in Munich, Germany, has deployed Harmonic’s HFC solutions for its new GPON. M-net’s new fiber to the building/home (FTTB/FTTH) service offers digital/analog TV service in addition to high-speed data connectivity. The full range of Harmonic’s 1,550 nm MAXLink optical transmitters and amplifiers were deployed as part of the M-net RF overlay project.

Two Harmonic partners were instrumental in the M-net deployment. Quative served as system integrator for the entire service deployment, and Normann Engineering GmbH was key in the planning and installation of the M-net optical transport network in Munich and other Bavarian cities.
