Comcast, Sony and Lionsgate threw a kickoff party Oct. 30 in Los Angeles for FEARnet, their jointly owned multi-platform horror network that launched on Halloween. FEARnet president Diane Robina (also Comcast’s president of emerging networks), hit the black carpet at the celebration with (from left to right) Steve Mosko, president of Sony Pictures; Michael Lynton, chairman and CEO, Sony Pictures Entertainment; Jeff Shell, president of Comcast Programming Group; Michael Burns, vice chairman, Lionsgate; and Peter Block, president of acquisitions and co-productions, Lionsgate. MSG Network celebrated Halloween on the other coast by hosting a masquerade ball at New York’s Capitale. The event promoted The 50 Greatest Moments at Madison Square Garden, MSG’s new weekly documentary series. Each of the Knicks City Dancers dressed up as Marilyn Monroe, whose birthday salute to JFK is one of MSG’s 50 Moments.
