NJ Governor Taps Comcast’s Kettleson
Bill Kettleson, regional VP, government and community affairs, for Comcast New Jersey, was appointed by Gov. Jon Corzine to the prestigious Governor’s Advisory Council on Volunteerism and Community Service. A veteran community and cable industry volunteer, Kettleson served as chair of the New Jersey Cable Telecommunications Association.
Ctpaa Honors Kaplan, Smith-Everhard, Tenebruso and Wolfe
The Cable Television Public Affairs Association named Dena Kaplan, SVP, marketing, GSN; Suzee Smith-Everhard, director, community relations, Cox Arizona; Lee Tenebruso, VP, corporate affairs and education, Court TV; and John Wolfe, VP, government and public affairs, Cox New England as winners of its 4th annual Public Affairs Achievement Awards. They will be honored March 12 at CTPAA’s Forum 2007 in Washington, D.C.
And the Grammy Goes to…
Tim Brooks, EVP, research, Lifetime Entertainment Services, received a Grammy Award last month for an off-television production. The TV historian and ratings guru was part of the team that won a Grammy for Best Historical Album. The disc, Lost Sounds: Blacks and the Birth of the Recording Industry 1891-1922 (below), is based on Brooks’ book of the same title. Brooks and the album’s producers and engineers accepted the award at the 49th Annual Grammy Award ceremony in Los Angeles on Feb. 11.
