Time Warner Cable says it will automatically credit many local residential and business customers whose TV, Internet and home phone services were interrupted during Hurricane Sandy. The credit will appear on customers’ statements, labeled “Hurricane Sandy Credit.” TWC also will waive any fees or penalties for such equipment as set-top boxes and cable modems that were lost, damaged or destroyed as a result of the storm; in addition, it will waive the usual fees associated with installing, transferring or reconnecting service to new or temporary residences.
