Gemstar horseracing net TVG processed $125mln in wagers during 2Q—the highest 2Q wagering total in company history. The record came despite the loss of the entire Churchill Downs spring race meet, including the Kentucky Derby. TVG lost Churchill after it acquired a 50% stake in rival HRTV in Mar (Cfax, 3/6). Revenue for the net was flat vs 2Q06, but the company said that was positive given the changes in certain customer and licensee relationships in the 1st half of the year.
