CounterPath, a developer of desktop and mobile VoIP software products and solutions, inked a deal with Altibox, a Norwegian triple-play service provider, to enable its Altibox Loop with Bria to allow customers to make mobile calls using their home phone number, regardless of their location. Says Todd Carothers, executive vice president/Sales and Marketing at CounterPath, "CounterPath’s softphone solutions enable services like Altibox Loop, which offset the threat of OTT players while also meeting the changing needs of their customers." The Altibox Loop app works on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices as well as Android smartphones; features include video calling, HD audio, call logs, an integrated contact list, three-way calling and voicemail.
