Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (Cyta) used Infinera’s DTN-X platform, featuring 500 Gb/s long-haul super-channels, to span its TE-North Cable System, interconnecting Asia and Africa to Europe. The deployment of Infinera’s DTN-X platform allows Cyta to add additional capacity to the ALEXANDROS subsystem, with the ability to upgrade TE North’s terrestrial network in the future, in order to serve global operators that rely on Cyta to offer services in the Middle East, Asia and Africa region…China’s Huawei chose Broadcom‘s Small Cell Baseband Processor family of solutions for its WCDMA small-cell access-point deployments. Huawei incorporated the Broadcom BCM61670 family inside its small-cell product line of the ePicoxx series that provide indoor and outdoor solutions, enabling carriers to increase both coverage and capacity for 3G networks.
