Infinera and Eurofiber cut over 100 Gigabit Ethernet (100 GbE) services across Eurofiber’s Netherlands and Belgium network, using the Infinera DTN platform…Nederlandse Publieke Omroep (NPO) in the Netherlands expanded its streaming operations with the purchase of 10 dual-channel Digital Rapids encoding systems. The new encoders complement NPO’s existing deployment of Digital Rapids solutions and were added to support streaming projects, including this year’s European football championships, Tour de France cycling, and NPO broadcaster Nederlandse Omroep Stichting’s online and mobile coverage of the 2012 London Olympic Games…LatAm digital media provider Terra will use Level 3 Communications’ Vyvx Managed Video Network Solutions (MVNS) to broadcast sports and other special events. Level 3 will provide Terra with bidirectional circuits, equipment and on-site technical and logistical support at Terra’s headquarters in Sao Paulo, and at its broadcast studio in the International Broadcasting Centre (IBC) in London…Triple-play operator Cable Bahamas Ltd. signed a five-year extension for licenses and services for the Amdocs CES Multi-Play Smart Pack. The solution will support Cable Bahamas’ expansion into voice services while continuing to support its cable and broadband offerings.
