You might say MacKinnon was destined for a career in the political world. Jackie Kennedy Onassis was one of her idols. They both went to the same boarding school. MacKinnon lived in the same room as Jackie her sophomore year, and she found the First Lady’s name etched in the slat of the window. In Washington, she’s known as a relationship builder who has learned to disagree without being disagreeable. Her definition of professional success? “Doing meaningful work that you love,” she says.
