Frontier Offers an Online Video Site
Frontier Communications has launched an online video site dubbed TumTiki, available to anyone with Internet access. Partnering with online video services such as Hulu, TumTiki streams free TV episodes from major networks, including ABC, NBC, Fox, Food Network, Bravo, FX, Syfy, HGTV, AMC, National Geographic, Oxygen, Comedy Central and TBS. The site also offers users a pay-per-view option for fee-based TV episodes and movies through Frontier’s partnership with Amazon.com.
TumTiki also offers local video content, featuring sports, news and other programming from select local TV affiliate stations.
"TV and movie watchers are very resourceful in searching multiple sites and services to find the content they want, but they are tired of constant searching," said Melinda White, executive vice president/Revenue Development, at Frontier Communications, in a statement. "Consumers told us they would prefer an all-in-one browsing, searching and viewing experience. Everything is readily available at TumTiki.com."
Frontier isn’t the first service provider to recognize that consumers want help finding and organizing online video content. (For more, see Charter Presents Search and Discovery for OTT Content and Live From TelcoTV: Operators Ride Shotgun, Consumers Drive).
TumTiki’s online video site from Frontier Communications features more than 700,000 free TV episodes, movies, original Web series, professionally-produced clips and local programming directly within TumTiki.com, without redirecting to another site; and premium movies and episodes for rental.
Frontier Communications offers Internet, voice, satellite video, wireless Internet data access and business services in 27 states with approximately 15,250 employees.
