The SEC is taking administrative action against 2 Deloitte and Touche accountants, Gregory Dearlove and William Caswell, for their roles in auditing Adelphia’s accounting books in ’00. The SEC said they knew or should have known that the MSO’s financial statements did not conform with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Caswell settled by agreeing to abstain from auditing a public company for 2 years. Dearlove will contest the charges.
