Oprah Winfrey‘s decision to partner with Discovery for The Oprah Winfrey Network (late ’09) was visceral and spiritual, according to the billionaire’s recent comments in Black Enterprise magazine, and therefore should ensure the net’s success. "The only decisions that get me in trouble are ego decisions," said Winfrey of her investment in Oxygen several years ago. That investment was made, she said, because people convinced her that involvement with a women’s network was a necessity. Winfrey told the magazine that her intentions with OWN include "for it to live beyond me, for it to be a living network of possibilities for people in their own lives."
