FCC Contracts with DTV Installer Firm

The Federal Communications Commission has contracted with INSTALLS Inc. to provide in-home converter box installation services to more than 35,000 homes across the country. The FCC wants to ensure that senior citizens, those with disabilities, non-native English speakers and others are given additional help to complete the transition to digital TV signals. INTSTALLS is a 15-year-old suppler of installation services to clients that include Best Buy, SONY and COSTCO.com. The company uses a network of more than 8,000 technicians.
