MSG is reportedly in talks with Adelphia about picking up TV rights to the Buffalo Sabres, the 1st step toward shutting down the MSO’s smallish RSN, Empire Sports Network. The Sabres have 3 years remaining in their contract with Empire, at a cost of $8.5mln/season.
