ANGA COM Announces Summit Lineups
This year’s agenda for ANGA COM – Exhibition and Congress for Broadband, Cable & Satellite (June 4-6 in Cologne, Germany) consists of four industry summits, and 18 strategy and technology panels. Ten panels will be held in English. The International Technology Summit tackles "Fiber vs. LTE – Potentials and Borderlines" and deals with the competition between fixed and wireless networks. Speakers include Nick Fielibert (Cisco), Lorenz Glatz (Kabel Deutschland), Daniel Howard (SCTE), Bruce McClelland (ARRIS), Jørgen Michaelsen (YouSee), Hanno Narjus (Teleste) and Dr. Giles Wilson (Ericsson). The TV Summit addresses “Networks and Content: Who Pays the Bill?;” the Broadband Summit focuses on “Growing Bandwidths, Falling Prices: With How Much Competition Can a Market Cope?;” and the Connected Home Summit includes speakers from Microsoft, Google, Samsung, Hewlett Packard and Cisco.
SCTE Seeks 2013 Cable-Tec Topic Presenters
The SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2013 Program Committee is looking for abstracts addressing the evolution of cable networks, services and business processes to be presented during the Expo Oct. 21-24 in Atlanta. Suggested subtopics include Network Evolution (technology, architecture, wireless/integrated, management, security, energy efficiency), Service Evolution (video, IPv6, advanced home networks and services, software and apps, user interfaces) and Business Evolution (customer care/billing, business services, big data, workforce, competitive strategies). Interested presenters should provider a one-page abstract (300 words) identifying the overall theme and subtopic heading as well as whether the audience is customer facing, engineering or business/management personnel.
