SPATIALinfo, a Colo.-based provider of software that manages communications network assets, released new versions of its spatialNET and spatialWEB products that, when used together, deliver advanced capability for the design and management of fiber premise network elements typically required for Fiber to the Home (FTTH) networks.

spatialNET is an engineering solution that manages the complete physical network inventory of communication service providers, allowing network engineers, planners and technicians to design and manage fiber, coax and twisted-pair networks in a familiar CAD environment while managing the asset data in an enterprise database. spatialWEB is an enterprise Web-mapping solution that delivers network-asset information across the communications service-provider organization.

Instead of modeling the network to the property, SPATIALinfo says service providers that use the enhanced versions can model cable and equipment inside the premise accurately, including all components and connectivity.

“Organizations deploying FTTH networks can now design and manage the detailed asset inventory around the premise and use the data for critical business decisions such as detailed service qualification at each premise," notes CTO/Managing Director Tony Cotter. "These enhancements demonstrate SPATIALinfo’s ongoing commitment to deliver software solutions that meet the needs of our customers in a timely fashion as they continue to deploy more complex communications networks."
