Edgeware has announced a global IPTV cooperation with Ericsson. Edgeware is integrating its solid state VOD platform with the Ericsson end-to-end IPTV solution and OpenStream Digital Services Platform. Edgeware’s network-distributed server architecture is designed to allow operators to utilize their existing network, even when bandwidth and QoS are limited, by caching popular content close to the viewers.
