Germany’s Access Co Ltd and Verimatrix teamed to create Verimatrix Gateway, launched and demo’d at this week’s TV Connect show in London. The product integrates NetFront Living Connect, a Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) Technology Component from Access, with Verimatrix security to provide an integrated "studio confident" security and in-home media-sharing solution, they add. Attendees were shown how the gateway enables translation between incoming content streams from a managed distribution network or stored recordings, and corresponding stream formats that are optimized for in-home distribution using NetFront Living Connect. Secure formats include DTCP-IP and enhanced-security HLS.
