Charter pulled out all the stops for its “HoliDeals” Fall subscriber drive, strategically blanketing the Web and social media with special offers targeting budget-conscious consumers. In addition to gift card offers, Charter also conducted an Amazon Kindle Fire sweepstakes in which the operator gave away 3 Kindles per day, every day for a whopping 8 weeks. As word spread, so did the interest in Charter’s services. Facebook impressions in 2012 alone were up more than 10-fold from 2011. Charter even created an app to track Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals for customers. Nice.
