CMC Adds Another VoD Customer
Vme Media Inc. is using Comcast Media Center’s (CMC) Content Solutions unit to manage and deliver VoD programming for its Spanish-language network; most of the content appears to be children’s’ programming. Vme’s 24-hour digital broadcast service is carried on basic digital cable in major markets across the country and nationally via satellite.
 
OVH Supercharges Its Super Channels
France’s OVH will deploy the multi-terabit Infinera DTN-X platform for its pan-European network that features 500 Gb/s super-channels. The operator claims to be the largest Web-hosting company in Europe, supporting both public and private cloud services, and the DTN-X could help it increase network capacity by 10 times what previously was offered. It will connect data centers throughout 10 major European cities in seven countries.
