Shango, Vidtel Bolster Video-Conferencing Capabilities
Shango, calling itself “the only community-based marketplace for the fulfillment of IP-enabled services for communication service providers,” says cloud-based video-conferencing provider Vidtel will use its standards-based ecosystem of voice-applications service providers to source and manage telephone-number inventory from its own wholesale carriers. In addition, Shango will integrate provisioning and management of Vidtel’s cloud video-conferencing into its fulfillment engine.
Partners Team For Enhanced Multiscreen Services
iStreamPlanet is partnering with Ooyala to provide multiscreen, live, linear-streaming services for content owners, aggregators and distributors. As such, iStreamPlanet’s live streaming workflow services have been integrated with Ooyala’s platform for video streaming, analytics, and monetization. The joint services include global content acquisition; advanced media processing that includes multiple-bit-rate Apple HLS and multiple-bit-rate RTMP output; and the analytics that track such key metrics as viewer location, engagement and device type.
Integra Network To Power Lyfe’s Utah MDUs
Broadband provider Lyfe Communications Inc. tapped Integra Telecom to provide fiber-based high-bandwidth services to all its Utah properties. Lyfe will use Integra technology to offer more high-speed Internet and phone services to new customers in targeted Multiple Dwelling Units (MDUs). Integra owns and operates a 5,000-mile long-haul fiber network; 3,000 miles of metropolitan fiber; and a nationwide IP/MPLS network.
