Roomlinx Inc., a Denver-based developer of interactive TV apps for the ?hospitality industry, to date has cut over 100 of the 136 Hyatt property sites it planned to add this year (click here for more information)…RELM Wireless won a $2.1 million blanket purchase agreement (BPA) from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, with that agency buying the company’s new KNG-Series and legacy D-Series digital P25 portable radios, other mobiles and related accessories operating in the VHF band. The BPA has a maximum total value of $2.1 million, with a one-year base period and four one-year option periods…ARINC and Lemko wrapped what they say was a successful demo of seamless data transmission and streaming video using 4G LTE technology via ARINC’s RapydConnex mobile edge satellite broadband communications platform and Lemko’s distributed mobile wireless network. The testing team obtained sustained data uploads and download speeds of 2 Mbps. Streaming video was uninterrupted, ARINC says. First beneficiaries: public safety and the military…FreedomPop, the free wireless broadband Internet company, now is working with Sprint regarding access to Sprint’s 4G LTE and WiMAX networks as well as its 3G network, giving FreedomPop a national footprint built 3G, WiMAX and LTE backbones. Service is set to begin next year…Suddenlink Communications inked a long-term contract extension for NetCracker Technology‘s converged BSS solutions. NetCracker now will provide the operator with secure SOA standards-based Web services it says will help improve access to billing and customer data through interfaces with such external apps as Web portals, IVRs and mobile devices…Cassidian Communications just finished upgrading 9-1-1 equipment at the Cecil County Department of Emergency Services Dispatch Center in Maryland, in conjunction with channel partner Verizon Business. The 10 call-taking positions at the 9-1-1 center now are equipped with the VESTA CS call-processing solution, the Aurora management-information system and the ORION Vela mapping solution. ?
