An SEC filing revealed a few more details about Cox’s TiVo deal, which runs for 5 years after completion of the newly customized TiVo software but will last no longer than 7 years after the effective date of the agreement. Cox will pay a monthly recurring fee per box using TiVo as well as commissions on certain new subs who use the service. The MSO will also pay TiVo fees for engineering services for the development and integration of the TiVo software.
