Telcordia has been selected by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to play a key role in the Dynamic Multi-Terabit Core Optical Networks (CORONET) program. Telcordia has been awarded a major contract and leads a team that includes AT&T Labs Research, AT&T Government Solutions, Nortel and the University of Southern California.
The objective of the CORONET program is to develop protocols, algorithms, network architectures and control and management capabilities to support dynamic multi-terabit, core optical networks that support both IP and wavelength services. The program was created to enable a dramatic increase in the performance, resilience and security of the U.S. global inter-networking infrastructure.
