CTAM Summit attendance reached 2,756 Tues morning-ahead of CTAM’s projection of 2,400. Final figures won’t be available until today. Interesting to see what next year’s show looks like, as CTAM Digital won’t be held in ’05. — "People who come in with a strong point of view, are probably going to find a strong welcome mat at HBO," net chmn/CEO Chris Albrecht said at Summit, describing what makes its programming unique. For example, "Oz" was more than a prison drama. It examined the argument of rehabilitation vs retribution. "Deadwood" is more than a western-outlining the rise of capitalism in the US. Look for HBO to once again put a lot of focus on the miniseries, developing whole Q campaigns around them, Albrecht said. Also on tap: "We’re talking to operators about all sorts of different interactive services," and the net’s interested in playing in the broadband space, he said.
