Cox Communications has promoted several of its technology executives and placed them under the leadership of Mark Kaish as the company’s new SVP of technology operations.

In making the announcement, Cox’s SVP of Technology Scott Hatfield said, “In keeping with our goal of achieving an integrated technology platform, we have brought together all of the operations groups within the new technology organization and placed them under Mark’s leadership.”

In his new role, Kaish is responsible for the support of all Cox products, national voice and data networks, internal and customer-facing applications, billing operations, information security and PC and LAN support. He will also lead improvement and cost reduction initiatives across technology operations. Previously, Kaish was VP of voice development and support.

Steve Marsh has been named VP of technology customer operations. Most recently, he was the executive director of Cox Digital Telephone product operations. In his new role, Marsh will lead the customer operations team. This team includes the majority of Cox’s network operations functions in addition to the incorporation of billing operations, management and support groups.

Sung Yang has been named VP of technology product development and OSS. In his tenure at Cox, he has led many diverse teams on initiatives ranging from work force automation to self-reliance and wireless. In his new role, Yang will be responsible for working with Cox’s business and boundary partners to deliver many of the company’s product projects. He will also oversee the product OSS team.

Guy McCormick has been promoted to VP of technology business operations. Most recently, he was the executive director of engineering operations. His new responsibilities include financial management, communications, resource optimization and alignment with operations.
