Interop Technologies, a provider of core wireless solutions for messaging, device management and gateway connectivity, has announced that Cox Communications has selected Interop’s hosted CDMA Over-the-Air Service Provisioning (OTASP) technology to automate device activation at the point-of-sale.

The Interop-hosted CDMA OTA provisioning offering is IS-683 compliant and provides a way for network operators to provision the Number Assignment Module (NAM).

In August 2009, Cox Communications purchased Interop Technologies SMSC (SMS Center) 4 Series, Multimedia Messaging Center (MMSC), WAP Gateway, and hosted Common Short Code (CSC) Gateway.
