Cox Business has extended its fiber network to the 407,000-square-foot SuperNAP data center in Las Vegas owned and operated by Switch Communications Group. SuperNAP features multiple telecommunications carriers to provide broad network connectivity options and network redundancy.

"Reliability and network connectivity are key factors for data center customers and any communications carrier we bring into this environment must meet rigorous requirements," said Chris Donnelly, chief marketing officer, Switch Communications Group. "Cox Business is a trusted provider for thousands of businesses in the region and the company helps ensure our customers experience premium service levels."

Cox Business built dual fiber entries into the SuperNAP, supported by redundant network switching centers and multiple OC-192 fiber rings.

Last week, Cox Business announced a similar arrangement with i/o Data Centers in Arizona. (For more, click here).
