Cox Business has expanded its video portfolio to include high definition (HD) free-to-guest services for major hotel chains in Cox markets across the United States. Cox Business has offered similar services to large gaming hotels for several years, primarily in Las Vegas.

Cox Business’ standard offer to hotels includes 24 encrypted HD channels, but can expand to support additional HD channels based on individual hotel needs. Cox Business delivers Pro:Idiom-encrypted HD feeds, which are compliant with premium channel content security requirements and the TV set standard that the hospitality industry has adopted. Interoperability with Pro:Idiom allows Cox Business to deliver HD content without additional set-top boxes in each guest room.
