DirecTV added Azteca America to its local channel lineup in Philadelphia. — AT&T continues to bolster its wireless thrust, announcing plans to invest $4mln this year to enhance its wireless network in NE, and $52mln in KY where the telco will add 19 new cell sites. — As Verizon Wireless reported 2Q retail net customer additions of 1.6mln— bringing its total customer base at 2Q’s end to 62.1mln—the company also had some sharp words concerning the FCC’s proposals for open access rules in the upcoming 700MHz spectrum auction.
