Coaxial Cable Television of Edinboro, PA, finalized the completion and installation of its Challenger all-digital platform from Transparent Video Systems today.

The transition from hybrid analog/digital to all-digital was accomplished through a phased rollout. Coaxial Cable’s platform has enabled them to offer subscribers both SD and HD, higher speed broadband, VoIP, and additional services that are available because of the freed-up bandwidth. Using the TVS Challenger Platform, the 550 MHz system delivers 187 channels to more than 4,000 subscribers.

The TVS Challenger platform is designed to deliver CATV multiplexing and signal-compression technology and is designed specifically for independent cable operators with as few as 500 subscribers, to larger operators with 100,000 plus network operations.
