Comcast Media Center (CMC) has been selected as one of the service providers to help manage and distribute video on demand (VOD) delivery for the new independent film distribution platform Tribeca Film.

CMC will launch a branded Tribeca Film VOD offering April 21, in conjunction with the Tribeca Film Festival’s opening day, with 12 feature titles that will be delivered via the CMC to participating cable operators, including Comcast Cable. The titles will be available for a minimum of 60 days.

“The CMC’s reach, encompassing more than 90 percent of the country’s top cable system operators, allows us to bring our diverse selection of quality-driven entertaining films to a national audience,” said Adam Sloan, EVP of Tribeca Enterprises, in a statement.
