Clearfield has introduced the WaveSmart PowerNode 1550 EDFA, the first in a series of WaveSmart platform products.  The 1550 EDFA offers custom wavelengths and user-defined power output levels for the distribution of optical signals and long-distance transmission relay in conjunction with 1550nm optical transmitters for cable television and fiber to the home (FTTH) systems. It is designed to complement the company’s FieldSmart platform.
