Panasonic demo’ed the industry’s first end-to-end system for OCAP here yesterday, where it was joined by collaborators Comcast [CMCSA], Time Warner Cable [TWX] Motorola [MOT], and Concurrent [CCUR]. — Voom used CES to unveil plans for the roll out of the "Voom HD Home Media Network" this summer. The whole house solution being demo’ed on the floor, features an HD DVR that can be linked to Voom’s Home Media Network. The solution uses embedded software from Ucentric. Separately, Voom has added 4 new channels of HD programming-NFL Network, Playboy TV, Starz! HD East and Starz! HD West-to give it 30 channels of HD. — TiVo [TIVO] said it will introduce a DVD recorder and an HD-enabled DirecTV DVR in ’04. — Pioneer showed off its new plug-and-play compliant HD plasma set, with "CableCard" bay and built-in NTSC and ATSC tuners.
