Apparently what happens in DC stays in DC. Last month CableOne CEO Tom Might blasted NFL Network’s drive for analog, and received thunderous applause from an ACA audience (Cfax, 5/9). Now word is Service Electric Cable, Blue Ridge and 73 other small and mid-size operators accepted a content handoff from NFL Net. All the carriage deals are for expanded basic. The net’s 8-game regular season package is part of the deals, as are 52 pre-season games.
