The Long and Short of It

At first glance, this group of influential cable stars would seem to be a disparate lot, but actually they have plenty in common. Supermodel Heidi Klum of Bravo’s ratings hit Project Runway and actress Zoë Lucker, who plays gorgeous super-bitch Tanya Turner on BBC America’s Footballers Wive$, represent the tall-slim wing of the party, plus Tanya’s superlong fags remind us of Heidi’s impossibly slender legs. Food’s diminutive Rachael Ray and Paula Deen share more than culinary expertise—each edits a magazine and has authored several cookbooks. Of course Paula’s also a proud Georgian, as is Deputy Police Chief Brenda Johnson, the Atlanta transplant in L.A. played to Southern belle perfection by New Yorker Kyra Sedgwick on TNT hit The Closer. And Dr. Heidi Cullen of The Weather Channel’s Climate Code matches Johnson’s professionalism in her approach to the hair-raising subject of global warming. Dr. Heidi Cullen
