Thursday’s 4Q earnings report had Cablevision Systems beating analyst expectations on most counts, according to sister publication CableFAX Daily. The results were all the more impressive given that Verizon reportedly by the end of 2007 had passed nearly a million homes in Cablevision’s footprint to which it could market video. Here are the numbers:

•    Revenue: up 10.8 percent to $1.84 billion
•    Basic adds: 1,000
•    Digital adds: 43,000
•    High speed data adds: 62,000
•    Phone adds: 102,000
