Mexico’s Number Two cableco, Cablemás, continues to lead the way in that country when it comes to going digital.

Last year, the operator inked a deal with Conax for its content security platform and with Evolution Digital LLC for set-top devices with Conax-embedded security. Today, Cablemás says it’s expanding its digital service offering to include next-generation IP video services using both technologies.?

Open-platform provider Conax has deployed four redundant, centralized content-security headends to serve more than 1 million Cablemás subscribers. The Conax system offers subscription, pay-per-view, pairing and on-demand products.
