FEARnet – FEARnet’s Trick ‘r Treat Campaign
Simplicity and obsession mark this well-designed Website that annually celebrates FearNET’s 24-hour Halloween marathon of cult-classic movie “Trick ‘r Treat.” The film follows a creepy kid who punishes people for breaking holiday rules. It’s simple, as the site mainly promotes the eerie vignettes that FEARnet uses with great effect to promote the marathon. And it’s obsessive, in the sense that we’re still not sure why this little-known movie has built up such a rapid fanbase. The site itself does its job. Fans can go behind the scenes, look at production art, hear from the film’s director (who also directs the promo vignettes), and even download themed wallpaper. It’s like Rocky Horror—except with the horror. And this is one horrible site (we mean that in a good way, of course).
