Andrea Wong
Title: President/CEO, Lifetime Nets
Last Year: #49
Age: Within Lifetime’s target demo
Education: MIT, BS; Stanford, MBA

Why Her? Wong’s focus on entertaining and advocating for women has reinvigorated Lifetime. Army Wives this year established Lifetime original drama records in HH rating (3.7), total viewers (4.5mln) and women 18+ (3.3mln). In Beta studies, Lifetime Movie Net ranked among the top 3 favorite digital basic nets and most popular midsize nets. Wong’s least popular move was relocating Lifetime’s PR shop to LA from NY. All hands were offered jobs, though.

Finally: After 12 years Lifetime and others were able to break the congressional logjam and get a hearing on a bill to prohibit drive-through mastectomies. The bill later stalled in the Senate.

Year Ahead:
’08 may prove very difficult to top.
