The difference between the TV and the PC just got smaller. At least that’s Microsoft’s hope after it announced plans to incorporate CableCARD technology in Windows Media Center-based PCs by Christmas. That means MSOs can offer 1-way programming, including HD, for viewing on PCs or other network-connected devices, like the Xbox 360. Microsoft and CableLabs are finalizing approval for digital rights management.
