Broadcast series eps on cable VOD was a powerful statement of media collaboration, but NBCU’s latest initiative wields even more force: Comcast’s G4 and iN Demand’s MOJO scooped up the off-net rights to NBC’s “Heroes.” Starting the week of Oct 29, both cable nets may air current series eps the same week they debut on NBC, and the 6-season deal also grants the pair access to the entire series library in ’10. G4 will debut “Heroes” with marathons of season 1 eps (Oct 27 & 28) and a mini-marathon of season 2’s initial 6 eps on Nov 3. MOJO will bow the latter Nov 1. Also, G4 will present after each regularly scheduled ep “The Post Show” (Nov 3, 11pm), a live, half-hour wrap-up show featuring chats and polls, exclusive interviews with cast and crew members and tips on what to look for in upcoming eps. G4 also obtained exclusive cable rights to stream the series on G4tv.com.
