The Cable Center, the University of Colorado‘s Silicon Flatirons Telecommunications Program and Communications Technology Professionals together will host the “Key Issues Series: The Future of User Generated Content” on Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 3-8 p.m. at The Cable Center, during Cable Days 2007.

The Future of User Generated Content will analyze the growing trends related to user generated content, explore what new technologies are emerging and look at how these technologies will transform traditional media and usage patterns. The conference will also ask what business models are emerging to turn this phenomenon into profitable ventures, and also examine the legal concerns that arise, including intellectual property issues, questions of consumer privacy, and calls for regulation to protect children and guard against defamation in this emerging medium.
