Internet TV service Joost received an injection of $45mln from capital firm Index Ventures (which led the round), Sequoia Capital, Li Ka Shing Foundation, CBS and Viacom. Each company invested in a minority percentage of the firm, providing funding that will be used to accelerate product development, global expansion, localization and service offerings.
