Viacom [VIA] will acquire online sports news provider SportsLine.com, for $46mln, or $1.75 per share. In July, the media conglomerate offered a bid of $39.8mln ($1.50 a share) for SportsLine’s remaining assets—Viacom has been a minority shareholder since 1997—but was rebuffed. The deal is expected to close by the end of the year.
