S&P revised Viacom’s outlook to negative following chmn/CEO Sumner Redstone’s remarks Tues that a lower debt rating might help the company pursue growth and boost shareholder returns. – CSFB initiated coverage for Comcast with an "outperform" rating. – The broker cut EchoStar to "neutral" from "outperform," and trimmed its price target to $33 from $36. CSFB expects increased competition from DirecTV. During a presentation Mon, Chase Carey identified rural areas and Hispanic communities-traditionally EchoStar strongholds-as 2 markets in which it will step up efforts.
